UNFPA's support to PO2 project has expired

From February 2 to 6, a four-day meeting about PO2 project terminal evaluation had been held in Xiamen, one seaside city of Southeast China. Ms. Gao Xiangjun and other two project officers had participated in this meeting, and given a speech about how to realize the sustainable development of PO2 project at the requests from the participants.

In spite of the termination of UNFPA's support to PO2, the donator hoped to promote the social and economic development of project areas with UNFPA's grant. UNFPA and China project office had required the local authority of PO2 project to sign a commitment stipulating the follow-up implementation of PO2 and giving the follow-up support to PO2.

Aiming at the sustainable development of PO2, all participants of this meeting had warmly discussed the practicable measures to realize the project sustainable development and foreseen the possible problems in future and how to tackle these. All participants said they would make the great efforts to realize the sustainable development of PO2.
