A Brief Introduction of the Activities that Developed By the Huzui Village Farmers’ Mutual Cooperation Organization  

Based on the support from local government , social promotion and the free will of farmers, Huzui Village farmers’ mutual cooperation organization has went into the village and started mobilizing since Feb. 2006, and it has convened 15 meetings on organizing farmers mutual cooperation and formally established at March 14, 2006. There were 71 household-members and 72 units of shares then. It found a village-ship fund of the amount of ￥72,000 included voluntary enrollment shares ￥26,500, the government’s allotment￥26,500, donation ￥19,000. Since established the organization, we developed a series of works as followed:

1、Management’s training: 3 managers were chosen to participate in a three-day training included: the knowledge of rural reconstruction theories, No.1 Documents of the central government and the eleventh five-year national plan, the policy on Farmer, Country and Agriculture problems and the credit function mode and financial operation and management procedures, and etc.

2、Put the activity center of the organization into effect and held its first central meeting: 3 managers above-mentioned officially played their roles to organize the discussion and finally confirmed the monthly activities of the organization and the specific time, requirements and disciplines of microfinance operations.

3、Established on the present condition of this village’s rabbits breeding industry to enlarge the production size and increase the commodity rate is the common aspiration of the entire village.

The key problems are how to reduce the breeding costs and enhance baby-rabbit’s survival rate, after repeatedly organized culturist discussions, finally we proposed a plan that using smashed plants’ stems mix with the foodstuff planted by farmers their selves to produce the feedstuff grains, thereby to reduce the costs. Recently the sub-association will organize farmers outside the village to study applied knowledge and lessons, and then will build two plants for producing the feedstuffs, and has already found the concrete way of the production through the discussions.
