Representatives of Southwestern China Office of the Salvation Army visited Yilong County

During November 4-6, Ms.Zhao Bin and Ms.Xujing had made a two-day visit to Yilong County representing the Southwestern China Office of the Salvation Army.

With the intention 0f inspecting the program aimming to train the rural women on sewing skills that ARDY submitted to Salvationarmy for their approval, accompanied by Ms. Gao xiangjun, two representatives had successively visited Wanxin and Wanli sewing-training schools, the sewing-training center of Tumen Vocational School, and the poor farmers living in Banqiaogou village of Baoping Township. Moreover, they had a friendly talk with the workers at Yongle Branch of ARDY, and had an undertanding of its commercial microfinance. Then they went to Baiyan village of Zhouhe Township and visited the sample households aided by Japanese Sasakawa Peace Foundation, and talked with microfinance-membership farmers. What they saw and heard had helped them understand the important role that microfinance program and ARDY had played in those farmers' economy development, and made them highly value ARDY and its works.
